If you’ve been thinking about booking a batch content session, but you’re not quite sure what to expect, I get it! Maybe you’re wondering if one session can really give you a full month of content. Or you’re a little nervous about being on camera and not knowing what to do. It’s one thing to read about it on a services page, but it’s another thing to actually see it in practice.

That’s why today I’m going to show you!

I’m giving you a behind-the-scenes look at my entire batch content creation process with one of my amazing clients: Blume Med Spa. From the inquiry call to the final content delivery, I’m sharing the whole process.

Ready to see what it’s really like? Let’s dive in.

About Blume Med Spa

Location: 1608 Lititz Pike Lancaster, PA 17601

Before we get started, let me tell you a little about my client. Blume House of Aesthetics & Wellness is a med spa located in Lancaster, PA. They offer advanced treatments that are designed to enhance your natural beauty and support your wellness journey. Their services include injectables, medical facials, laser skin resurfacing, and much more! Their name, “Blume”, means “flower” in German, which is perfect because it represents the growth, transformation, and renewal they provide their clients. If you’re local to Lancaster, go check them out!

Inquiry & Onboarding

Inquiry

Blume Med Spa found me through a referral from another client (one of my favorite ways to connect with new people!). They reached out through email, and we set up a discovery call to talk through their goals and see if we were a good fit.

On our initial call, we chatted about what they were struggling with, what they wanted their social media to accomplish, and how batch content creation could help them stay consistent. They were so excited to move forward that we jumped right into onboarding.

Onboarding

During onboarding, I gathered all the details I needed to make their batch content session successful. This included a questionnaire about their goals and challenges, their branding and visual identity, and some extra information that helped me understand their business.

This part usually takes about 1-2 weeks, and it’s where I really dig into your brand.

Once onboarding was complete, I had everything I needed to create a custom shot list and social media content calendar.

Blume Med Spa’s Goals for Batch Content Creation

Blume actually signed on for both batch content creation and social media management, but batching their content was crucial. They told me they didn’t have time or enough ideas to film content on their own.

Their main goals going into the session were to increase brand awareness and get more local visibility in the Lancaster area.

Batch content creation would help them meet both of those goals. We would film content that speaks to their ideal client and also highlights their beautiful spa.

Preparing for the Session

How I Prepare

For every batch content creation session, my goal is to come fully prepared with ideas and a shot list. That way, we can make the most of your time with me.

Here’s what I do to prepare:

  • Start with your goals to strategize content ideas, content pillars, and ways to improve.
  • Research competitors or businesses in the same field to see what their strengths and weaknesses are.
  • Study your social media accounts to understand what’s already working.

With all of this in mind, I then come up with the content ideas for a full month of posting. Those ideas help guide me to create a shot list of all the videos and photos we need in order to make those posts happen.

Knowing Blume’s specific goals for the session helped me organize the shot list in a way that would highlight each goal.

How Clients Can Prepare

Prior to our session, I provide my clients with the shot list. Getting this information ahead of time helps you understand what to bring or wear to the session. In addition, if there’s any extra items that we need at the session, I’ll make note of that in the list.

But really, all you have to do is bring

  • Yourself
  • Any team members you’re including
  • Predetermined props

In Blume’s case, we were not able to film every service they provide due to confidentiality. However, knowing that up front helped me prepare a shot list and structure the session around the services we could film.

If your business has special considerations like Blume, I can absolutely accommodate them!

The Day Of: Batch Content Session

On the day of the session, I show up with my shot list and all my equipment. That includes my content phone, computer, tripod, camera, mini mic, portable charger—basically everything we need to make the day run smoothly.

Most sessions are about 1-2 hours. If we’re filming a service, we might be on the longer side. If it’s just evergreen content (behind-the-scenes, product shots, etc.), we can move through it pretty quickly.

A Look at Blume Med Spa’s Session

We started the day by spending about 15 minutes catching up and reviewing the shot list together. This gave us time to answer any last minute questions. Once we were good to go, I worked through the list from top to bottom.

I started by grabbing content that didn’t require them to be in the frame. One of the first videos we filmed for them was an Introduction video to the space. It highlighted the outside of the spa so clients would know what the building looked like. Then, it showed clients how to enter and what they would see when they come in for an appointment.

After that, we moved into content where the team was featured. We grabbed some fun, community-building content.

Finally, we wrapped it up with footage of their services, like facials and microneedling. These are things they’d struggle to film on their own during a busy workday.

Delivery & Results

What Happens After a Session

Once we wrap up filming, I get to work on editing and finalizing the content. Within one week, all your content is ready and delivered through Dropbox. Everything is edited and ready to post! There’s no extra work on your end.

Plus, if any posts include text on screen, I provide two versions: one with text and one without, so you have options.

For Blume Med Spa, the session gave us everything we needed for a full month of content. Not only did they end up with great content, but it made creating their social media calendar so much easier. I had all the footage I needed to finish their posts for the month.

The Results

Blume loved their content so much that they came back for more! We are on our third month of batch content sessions, and we also handle their social media management.

The results speak for themselves. In just two months, we’ve:

  • Generated over 165.2k views
  • Driven 323 website clicks
  • Gained 177 followers on Instagram
  • Created 12 posts per month

This is what happens when you combine strategy and consistency. Batching their content helped Blume engage their audience and attract new clients. And they didn’t have to spend hours every week trying to figure out what to post! They show up consistently on social media because the content is already done.
